Hyderabad: Man Dies Evading Arrest in Fake Certificate Case

Hyderabad:A 60-year-old man, who was involved in a fake certificate case, died in an attempt to avoid arrest at his residence by the Rajendranagar police at about 4.30 pm on Friday.

According to Rajendranagar inspector K. Kastro, an FIR was registered in 2015 against the victim, Afsaruddin, for allegedly selling fake education certificates. Despite, several notices, he failed to appear before the court and the Panjagutta police issued a warrant against him.

"When the Panjagutta police reached his residence at Suncity, Bandlaguda, with the warrant, he jumped off the second floor. He suffered severe internal injuries, including a fracture,” Kastro said. Afsaruddin was first shifted to a private hospital in the city where he died. His body was taken to the Osmania General Hospital for postmortem.
