Hyderabad: Man Kills Wife and Son, Dies by Suicide
Hyderabad: A 40-year-old man allegedly killed his wife and their two-year-old son and then died by suicide at his residence. The incident happened in the Begum Bazaar police station area on Friday morning.
According to inspector Vijay Kumar, the deceased Siraj, 40, Alia, 28, and their two-year-old son, were natives of Uttar Pradesh. Siraj has been working in a bangle shop in the city for the past six years. The couple also has a five-year-old son, who was not killed.
According to the suicide note recovered by the police from the spot, Siraj learnt about his wife's extra-marital affair and was constantly pursuing her to end it. However, she reportedly did not end the affair, which he said in the note led him to take this step.
Siraj allegedly first murdered his wife and then the two-year-old, suspecting he was not his child. His five-year-old son is currently in the state's custody. The bodies of the deceased were shifted to Osmania Hospital mortuary for postmortem. Siraj's family is reportedly on the way from UP to Hyderabad. Police registered a case dealing with murder and suicide.
