Hyderabad: A 35-year-old man was murdered by his elder brother after a drunken brawl in Munaganoor, Hayathnagar police said on Monday. The attacker was identified as Koti Ramulu and the victim as Krishna, both of whom worked as labourers at a construction site. Ramulu was later arrested.

Ramulu hit Krishna with a spade on the head late on Sunday night. Krishna died while undergoing treatment in a government hospital on Monday.

Police registered a case of murder against Ramulu and seized spade used in the murder. The Victim’s body was shifted to the OGH mortuary for postmortem.

During interrogation, Ramulu and his son K. Balu had misbehaved with Krishna's wife. Krishna had attacked his elder brother. The matter reached the panchayat which imposed a fine on Krishna. Krishna refused to pay the fine to Ramulu, the murder was the outcome of this dispute.
