Hyderabad: T-Safe App Hits 10,958 Downloads in 5 Months
Hyderabad: The T-Safe app, meant for the security of people who are travelling, has been downloaded 10,958 times in less than five months since its launch, said Shikha Goel, additional DGP, women safety and CID, on Sunday.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy launched the service that is designed to enhance the safety and security of citizens, particularly women, during travel.
Using T-Safe, travellers can initiate monitoring of their journey by the police, anywhere within the state. Once initiated, the service tracks the journey of the citizens for deviations such as citizen not-responding to alerts, long stoppage, change in route.
It automatically creates an emergency response ticket to Dial 100. This ensures that even if the citizen is unable to call for help, the police can still respond based on pre-provided journey details.
Till Saturday, 17,263 trips had been tracked by the T-Safe service desk. The service has received positive feedback, with a 4.8-star rating on the Google Play Store and accolades from users, particularly women travelling alone at night.
