Hyderabad to Host National Lok Adalat on Dec. 14

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad District Legal Services Authority (DSLA) will be conducting the National Lok Adalat on December 14 at the Criminal Courts Complex at Nampally, Manoranjan Complex, Hyderabad and Courts Complex, Secunderabad.

The Lok Adalat aims to solve pending compoundable cases and pre-litigation cases including cheque bounce cases, family disputes and excise cases, among others. Judicial officers and law enforcement officials will preside over the sessions to facilitate the settlements.

The judicial officers have been instructed to keep the case files ready, with a minimum of three cases per court, and to coordinate with bench clerks, litigants, advocates and police personnel.

Proceedings will commence at 9.30 am, allowing for case discussions and compromise recordings during the inaugural session. Public litigants are advised to take advantage of this opportunity to resolve their cases.

At the meeting hall of the Criminal Courts Complex, Nampally, the inaugural will be led by B. Suresh, Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, along with D. Ramakanth, I-Additional Sessions Judge, Hyderabad; city police commissioner, A. Ram Reddy, additional public prosecutor (APP)-cum-deputy Director of prosecutions; and G. Rajavardhan Reddy, president of the Nampally Bar Association.

The Lok Adalat at the VI-ASJ Court Hall in Secunderabad will be overseen by S. Sreevani, VI Additional Sessions Judge, along with the north zone DCP, APP Y. Vasanth Kumar from the X ACJM Court and Y. Vasanth Kumar, president of the Secunderabad Bar Association.

At the Manoranjan Complex, Nampally, R.M. Subhavalli, XIII Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate will preside over the inaugural session, accompanied by the central zone DCP, APP from XV ACJM Court; and A. Gokul, vice-president of the Nampally Bar Association.
