Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW), in a joint operation with Afzalgunj police, arrested an interstate ganja supplier and three peddlers. Over 5 kg of contraband and property worth `3 lakh was seized from them.

The main accused was identified as Satla Ganganna, a resident of Utnoor, Adilabad. The gang was arrested as they were travelling in an autorickshaw near the Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station. The peddlers, Byagari Ravikanth, Byagari Niraja, and her husband Byagari Ananthaiah, are residents of Rajendranagar. They used to procure the ganja from Ganganna and were selling it to consumers in the twin cities.

During interrogation, Ganganna confessed that for the past two years he was procuring the ganja from an Assamese cultivator in the state border of Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh.
