Padi Kaushik’s counter attack warning to Congress
Hyderabad:BRS MLA from Huzurabad Padi Kaushik Reddy who was released on bail in a case filed by Karimnagar police on Tuesday, warned Congress workers on Wednesday that if they do not stop attacking BRS offices and its workers then the BRS too will pay back the Congress in the same coin.
Kaushik Reddy’s warning came at a press meet during which he said Congress workers recently attacked a BRS office in Nalgonda district and if such actions continue then the BRS will not watch silently. “We will discuss this issue with KCR, KTR and Harish Rao and plan a future course of action,” he said.
He also defended himself in the case filed against him in Karimnagar district in which he was arrested last weekend and subsequently received bail. He said though he was the victim of an attack by Jagtial MLA Sanjay Kumar at the Karimnagar district review meeting last week, the police chose to target him instead.
“I wanted to know why farm loan waiver was not implemented in my constituency and there was constant running commentary from Congress leaders there. When I questioned this, it was portrayed as if I attacked Sanjay who would have not even become a corporator had it not been for KCR’s blessings,” Kaushik Reddy said. It may be recalled that Sanjay had joined the Congress party leaving the BRS some months ago.
