Hyderabad: Roads and buildings minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy left for the US on Monday to join the delegation led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. The delegation aims to secure investments for Telangana and address critical infrastructure projects.

Venkat Reddy’s visit will focus on resolving key issues related to the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel excavation project, which has encountered delays due to machinery repairs and other technical challenges. His primary objective is to acquire advanced machinery essential for the timely completion of the tunnel, crucial for water distribution in Nalgonda and surrounding districts.

On August 12, Venkat Reddy is scheduled to meet with Lok Home, CEO of Robbins Tunnel Boring Machinery Manufacturing Company, in Ohio. This meeting is important for negotiating the acquisition of machinery to speed up the SLBC works.

On August 7, Venkat Reddy will join the Chief Minister in a special meet-and-greet programme with the Indian diaspora in the US. This event aims to strengthen ties with the diaspora and discuss their contributions to Telangana's development.
