Laxman Criticizes Demolition Drive as Distraction Tactic

Hyderabad:BJP OBC Morcha president Dr K. Laxman said that the HYDRAA was not legally empowered to carry out the demolition drive. He called the demolitions a drama by the government to shift the attention of the people away from the failed poll promises of the Congress.

He said the Congress government had failed in addressing the widespread viral fevers and seasonal diseases. As many as 600 students from Gurukul schools have been admitted in hospitals and 40 students have lost lives due to viral fevers.

He said around 1,800 schools had been closed due to lack of government teachers. The civic conditions in the municipalities and gram panchayats have turned from bad to worse as they are not having funds to carry out the fogging operations to check the mosquito menace, he said.
