Leopard Electrocuted in Yellareddy

 Kamareddy: A leopard was electrocuted when it came in contact with an electric fencing wire put around a sugarcane field at Kattakindi thanda of Hajipur gram panchayat in Yellareddy mandal. Nudya Naik, the farmer, reportedly buried the leopard in the sugarcane field. However, villagers informed forest officials about the incident.

Forest officials rushed to the sugarcane field and exhumed the body of the leopard and conducted a post-mortem. Forest officials registered a case and are investigating the matter.

Farmer Nedya Naik had set up electric fencing wires around the sugarcane field to prevent wild animals. But the leopard reached there and came in contact with it.
