Man Arrested for Stalking Housewife

Hyderabad: A 23-year-old housewife pressed charges against one person for stalking her and forcing her to talk to him. According to the victim, the accused Anji, 28, a resident of Ramanthapur, is a neighbour of the victim and has been harassing her for six months. He has been following her wherever she goes and forcing her to talk to him.

Even after she refused, he did not stop the stalking. Recently, when the victim did not even utter a word and returned to her house, he sent two of her girl cousins to request her to talk to him over the phone. She made it clear over a call to stop following her and to avoid stalking her, he then started using abusive language. Based on the complaint of the victim, the police registered a case under Sections 78 and 79 of BNS.

3 Gangrape accused nabbed in 24 hrs

Hyderabad: Madhuranagar police swiftly acted on an incident of gangrape of a 44-year-old woman and arrested three culprits within 24 hours. The accused found the victim standing at the Hitec City bus stop on November 4 at 11.30 pm in a depressed condition. They assured her of finding a job for her and took her in an autorickshaw to their room at Omnagar in Madhurangar and raped her, police said. The accused Chandu, 25, Arif, 22, and Ajay, 35, are wall painters and belong to Ghorakpur, Uttar Pradesh. The trio was remanded to judicial custody on Wednesday, S. Mohan Kumar, Panjagutta ACP said.

Toddler drowns in bucket, dies

Hyderabad: An 18-month-old toddler died after he drowned in a bucket filled with water in her house at Indira Nagar, Khairatabad, on Tuesday night. The victim Thota Adhavika was playing in her house while her parents were having supper. The baby went into the bathroom and fell into the bucket.

The victim’s father Thota Satish Kumar, who went into the bathroom to wash his hands after having supper, found Adhavika sunk in the bucket and unconscious, Khairatabad police said.

Satish and his wife Renuka rushed Adiavika to a private hospital. Doctors informed the parents that she was unable to breathe and died due to drowning in water. The baby’s body - after a postmortem at OGH - was handed over to her parents on Wednesday for last rites.
