Man Ends Life Over Unpaid Gambling Debt

Hyderabad: A 37-year-old waiter who was addicted to online betting died by suicide, reportedly because he was unable to repay the money he had borrowed, in the early hours of Saturday.

The victim, Shaik Nasirul, returned from his workplace at 12.20 am to his house Venkatagiri, Jubilee Hills. Police suspect he died by suicide when his roommates were asleep.

Nasirul was said to have been addicted to ‘three cards’ game and had borrowed Rs.3.5 lakh from the market, police said.
