Manchu Manoj Alleges Brother Vishnu Tried to Harm Him

Hyderabad: Actor Manchu Manoj has alleged that his brother Manchu Vishnu tried to harm him. No formal complaint has been filed with the Pahadi Shareef police.

ACP Maheshwaram P. Laxmikantha Reddy informed Deccan Chronicle that only an oral complaint was made via social media, and no FIR had been registered. Sources claimed that Manoj would visit the police station on Monday to submit a written complaint.

Manoj claimed that during a party at his residence, Vishnu entered under the guise of delivering a birthday cake. Accompanied by associates Raj Konduru and Kiran Vijay Reddy, Vishnu allegedly mixed sugar with diesel and poured it in Manoj’s generator, causing electric fluctuations that frightened Manoj’s mother and nine-month-old daughter.

In a statement, Manoj said: “My family and I are going through an extremely tough time after a deliberate and dangerous attempt on our safety at home. Right now, my priority is to ensure my family’s well-being.”

He said the police had assured him of full protection and security. “I am grateful for their support.”

“I will file a formal complaint tomorrow (Monday)” after attending a ceremony in the family, Manoj said.

In a related matter, veteran actor Mohan Babu has filed a complaint with the Rachakonda commissioner G. Sudheer Babu against Manoj and his wife Mounika, accusing them of planning to seize his Jalpally residence by deploying anti-social elements.

Additionally, Mohan Babu visited a journalist, whom he had attacked last week, at a hospital and apologised. The incident had occurred when media personnel were waiting outside his farmhouse and had attempted get Mohan Babu’s quotes.

Mohan Babu has been charged with attempt to murder in the case. The journalist sustained injuries to his face when Mohan Babu allegedly hit him with a mike.
