"There are various issues with regard to the Musi encroachments. While some structures are in government land, some land parcels have pattas and some are in the full tank level (FTL). But these poor people should not worry as they will be rehabilitated," Prabhakar said while talking to the media. (Image: Twitter)

Hyderabad: As part of the Musi rejuvenation project, the poor families living in the affected areas will be moved out and rehabilitated in the government-built 2BHK houses. As part of this exercise, on Saturday, government officials identified 146 houses in the Chanchalguda 2BHK Housing Colony and 90 in the colony in Vanasthalipuram.

The identification was completed after transport minister Ponnam Prabhakar, the district in-charge minister, municipal administration and urban development principal secretary Dana Kishore, GHMC commissioner Amrapali Kata and others inspected these two colonies.

In addition to these 236 houses, 35,000 2BHK houses are under various stages of construction. The government also stated that those who could not be accommodated in these houses would be included in the Indiramma houses.

"There are various issues with regard to the Musi encroachments. While some structures are in government land, some land parcels have pattas and some are in the full tank level (FTL). But these poor people should not worry as they will be rehabilitated," Prabhakar said while talking to the media. He sought the cooperation of political parties and urged them not to misguide the affected persons.

In the presence of AIMIM Malakpet MLA Ahmed bin Abdullah Ballala, Prabhakar asked local leaders to cooperate at Chanchalguda and Vanasthalipuram. “No one will be rendered homeless. If anyone loses their property, they can approach the government with the help of local leaders,” Prabhakar stated.
