Nithyannadanam Satram Planned at Sri Raja Rajeshwara Temple

 Karimnagar: The state government is setting up a ‘Nithyannadanam Satram’ for the convenience of devotees at the famous Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple on the lines of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, said backward class welfare minister Ponnam Prabhakar.

Accompanied by the government chief whip and Vemulawada MLA, Aadi Srinivas, the minister on Wednesday offered prayers to the presiding deity.

Ponnam Prabhakar said steps are being taken for providing all kinds of facilities to devotees at Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple which is also called Dakshina Kashi.

Rs 50 crore was sanctioned to the temple and as per suggestions of pundits of Shrungeri Peetam and devotees, several developmental works are being taken up at the temple along with the resolution of Rajanna Kodelu.

Under the supervision of the district collector, 1,500 cows offered to the temple were distributed freely to farmers. Right from Shravan Masam, the break darshan system was introduced for devotees. Around 1,400 devotees visited the temple resulting in the earning of Rs 15 lakh for the temple till date.

Ponnama Prabhakar inaugurated a 300 MT godown established with the help of primary agriculture cooperative society (PACS), online and digital services centre of PACs and a new building of Karimnagar district cooperative bank limited (KDCB) and a bank ATM in temple town Vemulawada.

District collector Sandeep Kumar Jha, superintendent of police Akhil Mahajan, temple EO K.Vinod Reddy, KDCB chairman K. Ravinder, municipal chairperson R. Madhavi, vice-chairman B. Mahesh and PACS chairman A. Tirupathi Reddy were present at the event.
