Hyderabad: Justice C.V. Bhasker Reddy of the Telangana High Court took on file a writ plea filed by great-granddaughter Shafiya Sakina of Mir Osman Ali Khan Bahadur challenging the actions of the state government in demolishing Koti Asafia Palace at Alwal.

It was alleged by the petitioner that the respondents illegally took possession and demolished the palace measuring 28.41 acres. The petitioner contended that such an action of the government was illegal, without following the due process of law, and arbitrary. The court, after hearing the parties, directed the authorities to file replies within three weeks and posted the matter for further adjudication.
