Dry Days Ahead in Telangana

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police have ordered closure of all liquor and toddy shops, bars, and restaurants (except airport duty free shops) within the commissionerate’s jurisdiction from 6 am on June 4 to 6 am on June 5.

The police said legal action would be taken against those who failed to adhere to instructions. The department has also imposed Section 144 CrPc prohibiting assembly of five or more people at the counting centres from 6 am on June 4 till completion of the counting process.

The district administration in coordination with the police department is providing a three-layer security at the counting halls to ensure smooth conduct of the process. Paramilitary forces were also deployed at the centres to prevent any untoward incidents.
