Pass on instructions on PwD quota: Telangana HC
Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court directed the government counsel and the counsel for the Telangana State Public Service Commission to pass on the instructions on the reservations provided to the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) in the Group-1 recruitment.
Justice Pulla Karthik directed both the counsels to inform the details by June 10.
The Judge was dealing with a petition filed by persons with disabilities, complaining that the Group- 1 notification dated 19 February of this year issued by Public Service Commission clearly stated that a vertical reservations system will be followed in the recruitment of the post, which is in violation of the Supreme Court guidelines.
The petitioners brought to the notice of the court that though the GO had been issued to adopt horizontal reservations, the notification clearly mentioned the vertical reservations.
The Judge directed the government counsels to inform the contentions of the government by June 10.
