Ponguleti Prays at Basar Before Maha Campaign

 Adilabad: Revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Saturday offered special pujas at the Basar Saraswati Temple before heading to Maharashtra's Bhokar in Nanded district to campaign for Congress candidate Tirupati Baburao Kadam Khodekar. Khodekar is contesting from the Bhokar Assembly constituency in the upcoming elections.

Speaking to media in Basar, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy announced that the Telangana government is committed to allocating sufficient funds for the development of the Basar Saraswati Temple. He pledged to elevate the temple to the standards of the Bhadrachalam Ramachandra Swamy Temple, ensuring it becomes a major spiritual and cultural hub.

The minister also emphasised the government’s focus on education, highlighting plans to establish integrated schools with a budget of ₹150 crore each. These schools aim to provide education in government institutions on par with corporate schools. During his visit, RGUKT vice-chancellor N. Goverdhan briefed the minister about initiatives for the all-round development of the Basar IIIT.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan campaigned for BJP candidate Srijaya Chavan, daughter of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan, in the Bhokar Assembly constituency.
