President Murmu to visit Telangana on Saturday
Hyderabad: President Droupadi Murmu will visit Hyderabad on Saturday to participate in the 21st convocation of Nalsar University and inaugurate the Bharatiya Kala Mahotsav at Rashtrapati Nilayam.
President Murmu is scheduled to arrive at Hakimpet Air Force Station at 11.50 am by a special flight from Delhi, to a ceremonial welcome by the state government. The President will proceed to Nalsar University, where she will be the chief guest at the convocation starting at 12.20 pm.
She will reach Rashtrapati Nilayam in Bolaram at 3.30 pm to inaugurate the Bharatiya Kala Mahotsav will showcases cultural representations from different states. She will leave for Delhi at 5.45 pm from Hakimpet. Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka will be the minister-in-waiting.
Ahead of the President’s visit, Chief Secretary A. Santhi Kumari and district collector Anudeep Durishetty held review meetings to ensure meticulous preparations and coordination among various departments including police, revenue, roads and buildings (R&B), health, fire services, forest, and electricity.
At a meeting at the Secretariat, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari directed all departments to work in unison to ensure a flawless visit. The collector inspected stalls representing eight states, four food courts, the media centre, and other facilities set up at Rashtrapati Nilayam. He stressed the need for close monitoring to ensure there are no issues during the President’s visit.
The review meetings were attended by DGP Anjani Kumar, special chief secretary, home, Ravi Gupta, DG Fire Services Nagi Reddy, Governor’s principal secretary Burra Venkatesham, among others.
