Property Worth Over Rs 200 Cr Seized for MCC Violations Ahead of LS Polls

Hyderabad: The checks and raids conducted by the Telangana police ahead of the Lok Sabha elections for violation of the model code that was in vogue from March 16 to June 3 saw them seize Rs 200 crore worth of cash, liquor, precious metals, narcotics and freebies.

In order to monitor the implementation and violations of the code, the state police formed 466 flying squads, 89 state internal border check posts and several mobile parties of local police.
