Hyderabad: The parents of a Circle Inspector lodged a complaint with the Director-General of Police (DGP) Jitender here on Tuesday requesting him to come to their rescue as their elder son was threatening them to give additional share in their property in Mahbubnagar district.

Seeking protection from their son Nageswar Reddy, the parents – Raghunadha Reddy and Bojamma hailing from Venkataipally village at Killaghanpuram mandal in Wanaparthy came to the DGP’s office and lodged a complaint against their elder son who is working as an Inspector in Rachakonda Police Commissionerate.

The elderly couple informed that they owned 30 acres and 23 guntas land in their native place and they wanted to give 15 acres to their elder son and 11 acres to younger son Yadaiah, who is working as a police constable, while remaining land to their two daughters.

However, Nageswar Reddy was harassing them to give additional share in the land as he has two sons. When they tried to explain to him that it was not advisable on his part to demand additional share, Nageswar attempted to beat Bojamma with a chair. Even the elders in their community advised Nageswar asking him to mend his ways.

He, however, relented for a few days but later started pestering parents to give more shares. Unable to cope with the torture from Nageswar, the elderly couple lodged a complaint with the DGP requesting him to give protection to them from their elder son.

Bojamma broke down while speaking to media persons after lodging a complaint at the DGP office in Lakdikapul saying that Nageswar was threatening the villagers and community leaders to book cases against them if they tried to involve themselves in their family matters.

“We humbly request the DGP to come to our rescue and render justice to us,” Bojamma wept inconsolably, adding that their younger son attempted suicide as he was unable to bear his brother’s harassment.
