Hyderabad: The Raidurgam police on Sunday registered a case of “reckless or negligent actions” following Saturday’s fire at the fourth and fifth floors of the Sattva Elixir building.

Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Raidurgam SHO Ch Venkanna said, “We have asked all the teams to appear at the scene for a detailed investigation to figure out what might have led to the fire.” The police, GHMC, electrical, fire, FSL and other teams have been asked to investigate.

He said the police had not registered an FIR against any person or company for now. “The case has been booked for accidental fire. We are analysing the case from different angles,” he said.

A Sattva group spokesperson stated: “We are investigating the cause of the fire… Operations at Knowledge City are proceeding as usual and employees will be allowed.”

Sattva's media team told Deccan Chronicle that the rejuvenation works had started. The windows of the fourth floor had been replaced. The place where the fire occurred was closed for users, pending police investigations.

The Madhapur station fire officer stated that expert teams had visited the site and an inquiry process was going on.
