Razakar film producer Gudur Narayana Reddy felicitated

Hyderabad: BJP leader Guduru Narayan Reddy, producer of the film ‘Razakar: The Silent Genocide of Hyderabad’, which delved into political and religious oppression of people in the princely Hyderabad State and showcased the brutal atrocities committed by the Razakars under the Nizam’s rule, was felicitated at the Hyderabad Liberation Day event at Parade Ground at Secunderabad by Union coal and mines minister G. Kishan Reddy on Tuesday.

The movie shows the fight of the people of Telangana for freedom from the tyrannical rule of Nizam. It featured the 13 months of the struggle of Telangana people, between August 15, 1947 and September 17, 1948, and the transition to the present.

Narayan Reddy was honoured for his bold attempt to depict the harsh realities of Nizam’s regime. Union minister of state for home affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Malkajgiri BJP MP Etala Rajendar and Rajya Sabha member Dr K. Laxman were present on the occasion.
