HYDERABAD: Telangana BJP president G. Kishan Reddy on Tuesday asked Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to tell people on how he responds to the poor show by the Congress, which secured less than 50% of the 17 Lok Sabha seats in the state as he himself had said that the outcome of the contest would be a referendum on his government's performance.

Addressing a press conference at the state party office, Kishan Reddy said that the BJP won the highest number of seats from Telangana after its formation and even in the United Andhra Pradesh by contesting on its own.

“The Congress unleashed a false campaign against the BJP by stating about change of constitution and reservations but the people have reposed faith in the party and Narendra Modi. They never trusted the Congress. The People of Telangana have been looking at the BJP as a ray of hope as the Congress has ditched them with false promises,” he said.

On his getting a less margin in Secunderabad and the BJP tally getting reduced in the country, Kishan Reddy said that the Majlis party, under the cloak of Congress, had tried hard to defeat him. The number of votes for BJP has not reduced compared to the last Lok Sabha polls in Secunderabad., he said. The BJP will review the poll outcome at the national level. We won Assembly elections in three states, including Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, he said.
