Hyderabad: Even as social media is agog with news that two Hyderabad-bound passengers had died on the same day, the RGIA authorities on Thursday clarified that the reports were baseless.

Officials said that on September 16, a male passenger, who was coming from Goa on a flight, was found unconscious in the aircraft. As per the standard protocol, the airport medical centre (AMC) was informed and the passenger was taken to the unit where he was administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation. However, despite the best of efforts, the passenger could not be saved.

The next day, a wheelchair-bound female passenger travelling from Jeddah to Hyderabad fell unconscious upon arrival at the forecourt of the arrival area, near the ramp. She was immediately taken to the AMC where she was pronounced dead on arrival. The airport authorities acted swiftly to work with the stakeholders for immediate medical aid but neither survived.
