Sandhya Stampede: Breather for Allu Arjun in Nampally Court
Hyderabad: In a major relief to Pushpa actor Allu Arjun, the Nampally court exempted him from the condition of appearing at the police station every Sunday. Earlier, the court had imposed this condition as part of his bail terms in connection with the Sandhya 70 MM theatre stampede case, requiring him to appear before the Chikkadapally police each Sunday.
Allu Arjun had requested an exemption from this requirement, citing security concerns. The court also granted him permission to travel abroad.
On January 3, the Nampally court had granted regular bail to Allu Arjun, asking him to furnish two sureties of Rs 50,000. He was initially directed to appear before the Chikkadapally police every Sunday as part of his bail condition.
A case was filed against the actor following a tragic incident on December 4, just a day before the official release of Pushpa 2: The Rule in theatres. When Allu Arjun attended the premiere of his blockbuster at the Sandhya Theatre, a massive crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of the actor. The resulting chaos led to the death of a woman named Revathi, and her child was severely injured.
