Senior Officials Inspect Infrastructure Projects in Secunderabad Cantonment

Hyderabad: Senior officials from the Central and state governments toured various areas within the Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) to review proposed infrastructure projects, including elevated corridors and the Strategic Road Development Project (SRDP).

The inspection team, which included Rakesh Mittal, joint secretary, defence, Valeti Prem Chand, additional director-general, Defence Estates, director Amol B. Jagap, and SCB chief executive officer Madhukar Naik, assessed the plans for the construction of two elevated corridors. The proposed corridors will connect Paradise Junction with Dairy Farm, Suchitra, and Medchal, and the 44th National Highway, extending from Patny to the Toli Junction and onward to the Shameerpet Outer Ring Road.

Also present were senior state government officers including municipal administration secretary Dana Kishore and GHMC commissioner Amrapali Kata. The officials engaged in extensive discussions regarding the SRDP and the elevated corridor constructions, aimed at improving connectivity and easing traffic congestion in the Cantonment area.
