Hyderabad:The special investigation team probing the unauthorised phone tapping operation of the BRS government tenure on Tuesday asked iNews managing director Aruvela Shravan Kumar Rao, Accused No. 6 in the case, to surrender his two mobile phones along with SIM cards within a week.

Shravan Kumar had gone for questioning in the case at the Jubilee Hills ACP office. He had after recently returned from the US after the government cancelled his passport and appeared before SIT for the first time on March 29, reliable sources in SIT, disclosed.

“If Shravan Kumar fails to cooperate during the investigation, we will take action as per the law,” an SIT officer said.
