Sikh Community to Celebrate Guru Nanak Dev Ji's 555th Birth Anniversary

Hyderabad: The Sikh community will celebrate the 555th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first Sikh Guru, from November 11 to 15. The ‘Prakash Utsav’ will be marked by processions, gatherings and devotional singing. Two ‘Nagar Keertans’ have been planned, one at 4 pm on November 11 from Gurudwara Saheb Secunderabad, and another on November 13 from Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Afzalgunj. The Vishaal Deewan will take place on November 15 at Nampally Exhibition Grounds, from 10.30 am to 4 pm and will feature respected Ragi Jathas (religious singers). Night Keertan Darbars will be held on November 14 at Gurudwara Saheb, Secunderabad and on November 15 at the Afzalgunj Gurudwara, according to prabhandak committee’s S. Baldev Singh Bagga. S. Satvinder Singh Bagga, S. Jagmohan Singh (GSS), and S, Harpreet Singh Gulati.
