Hyderabad: The United Committee of Students and Youth Unions comprising SFI, AISF, NSUI,PDSU,VJS,DYFI,AIYF, PYL and YJS have called for a statewide bandh of all educational institutions from KG to PG classes on July 4.

Schools and colleges across Hyderabad have already announced closures, with many opting to switch to online classes to avoid disrupting academics.

At a press conference at Sundarayya Vignana Bhavan on Wednesday, the leaders said that the Prime Minister has not yet responded to the NEET scam.

"The central government is accountable to the students. In the background of the ongoing disputes in the management of NEET, the respective state governments have been demanding that the NEET exam should be shifted to the states," the leaders said.

They demanded that criminal cases be filed against those responsible for the leaks and justice should be given to students who wrote the NEET exam. Private educational institutes and students were requested to voluntarily cooperate in the nation-wide bandh of educational institutions on July 4.
