SUDA & VTADA Limits Expanded
Karimnagar: Bowing to demand of people, the state government expanded the limits of the Satavahana Urban Development Authority (SUDA) which includes the total area of Karimnagar district and issued a G. O. number 188.
SUDA was formed in 2017 with 61 villages along with Kothapally municipality and Karimnagar municipal corporation covering 622 square kilometers.
With the merger of 147 villages in addition to Huzurabad, Jammikunta and Choppadandi municipalities, its total area went up to around 2,160 square kilometers. The government is likely to take up several development works while preparing a master plan which would work for over 20 years.
The government also issued a G.O.No.184 expanding the VTADA (Vemulawada Temple Area Development Authority) which earlier used to be with Vemulawada municipality along with 11 villages.
However, as per the new G.O, the VTADA is expanded to the entire Rajanna Sircilla district with the inclusion of Sircilla municipality and 152 villages under 10 mandals of the district.
