A teacher and student, both now serving as police officers at the same police station in Moinabad, Rangareddy district, have an inspiring story of dedication and support.
Prabhavath Lalya Naik, hailing from a poor family in Chowdariguda, Parigi mandal, initially joined a government residential school and completed his intermediate studies. He then went on to earn a degree in Palvancha, Khammam, followed by an MA and BEd. He began working as a junior lecturer at a college in Parigi. However, during the COVID pandemic, he lost his job. Determined to move forward, he prepared for competitive exams and was selected as a constable. He is currently serving as a constable at the Moinabad police station.
Jabeena Begum, from Maktha Venkatapur village in Vikarabad district, joined the same intermediate college where Prabhavath Naik was a lecturer. Recognizing her potential, he encouraged and supported her studies, as she was exceptionally active in academics. When her parents planned to marry her off while she was still in her second year of intermediate, Naik intervened after learning of her situation and convinced her parents to cancel the marriage. He stood by her throughout her graduation and even helped her prepare for competitive exams. In 2024, Jabeena was selected for the Sub-Inspector post. After completing a year of training, she joined as a Probationary SI at Moinabad police station.
