Telangana: Collector takes charge as ZP special officer

Nizamabad: District collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu took charge as special officer of Nizamabad zilla parishad here on Friday. Following the completion of tenure of the elected body, the state government appointed the district collector as special officer.

Hanumanthu reached the zilla parishad office here at Subhashnagar and took up the responsibilities as special officer.

Zilla parishad chief executive officer Usha, panchayat raj engineer Shankar and other officials welcomed the collector on the occasion. Dadannagari Vittal Rao of BRS party served as zilla parishad chairman for the last five years.
