Hyderabad:“Telangana’s culture is a beacon of humanity and resilience, standing tall against oppression,” said Dr Vennela Gaddar, chairperson of the Telangana State Cultural Council, addressing a packed audience at Osmania University’s ‘Virasat’ cultural festival on Saturday.

Dr Gaddar said that the region’s cultural ethos was deeply intertwined with the spirit of its people, particularly the working class, whose struggles and way of life serve as reflections of society’s values. She noted that Telangana’s legacy lay in its unwavering resolve to confront adversity and preserve dignity in the face of suppression.

“It is this fighting spirit that defines Telangana society, and students must take pride in upholding and transmitting these values to future generations,” she urged.

The event, organised by the department of business management led by Prof. Y. Jahangir, was an ode to Telangana’s cultural richness and its enduring relevance. MBA students spearheaded the festival, which featured a range of performances and discussions celebrating the state’s heritage.
