Telangana: DCA Seizes Banned Drugs in Karimnagar

Hyderabad: The Drugs Control Administration (DCA), Telangana, seized a banned drug, ‘l-arginine & sildenafil soft gel capsules,’ from a medical shop in Karimnagar on Friday. The drug combination was prohibited by the Centre in 2018 due to the lack of therapeutic justification and the potential risks posed by the fixed-dose combination. A DCA release said the drug was illegally manufactured by Broad Injectables in Himachal Pradesh and marketed by Pharmakon Gynaecology Care, Haryana.
