Hyderabad: The personnel of Telangana Fire Service department safely rescued 17 persons after fire broke out in a residential complex at Anandnagar in Chinthal Bhasti on Saturday morning.

Fire Services Director General, Vikram Singh Mann, appreciated the staff for their effective response and timely action. According to officials, at 7.07 am on Saturday, a minor fire incident occurred in a house at Sri Sai Nilayam in Chinthal Basti. The building is a residential occupancy consisting of ground plus three floors with a penthouse.

The fire originated on the ground floor under the staircase in the electrical meter area. The suspected cause of the fire is electrical in nature. Upon receiving the information, the Amberpet Fire Station personnel rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire using a CO₂ fire extinguisher.

The occupants present in the building at the time of the incident were safely evacuated from the building. No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.
