Hyderabad: BJP legislature party leader A. Maheshwar Reddy said the state government is buying time in the name of caste census, instead of implementing its Kamareddy declaration. He demanded the government come out with survey details during KCR’s tenure.

Addressing the media he said, “The government should explain how they will do justice after holding the caste survey. They should not take the plea of not crossing the 50 per cent reservation limit by the courts to evade implementation. The government should implement a 42 per cent BC quota and they should be accommodated in the ministry accordingly. But only two have been taken into the Cabinet. The entire exercise is being taken up instead of implementing the promises. Even the Kamareddy seat was not given to the BCs.”

He added that the government should implement the BC sub-plan. “We will remove the reservations being availed by the minorities in the name of BCs,” he said.
