NIZAMABAD: Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Friday announced the launch of a new political party, stating that it would be inspired by the ideals of Lord Rama. The party is scheduled to be launched on April 25, with a public meeting planned at Medchal-Muneerabad.

She said priority would be given to women and youth in the party and stressed the need for a new political platform. Alleging that the BRS had ignored its promises and decisions, she criticised its functioning.
Referring to activities of Telangana Jagruthi, she said several voluntary and social service programmes had been carried out. “We achieved Telangana with the strength and spirit of Nizamabad’s soil,” she said.
She alleged that middlemen dominate farmers’ produce markets and questioned the government’s role in continuing the system. She said that in 12 years of separate Telangana, progress has been limited.
Kavitha, along with her husband Anil Kumar, visited the Raghunatha temple at Quilla. Large numbers of followers attended the programme.
