Karimnagar: Satavahana Urban Development Authority (SUDA) chairman Komatireddy Narendar Reddy said that the Congress government is diligently working to fulfill its promises to the people and is steering Telangana towards comprehensive development.

During a programme at the city Congress office in Karimnagar on Sunday, Reddy distributed CMRF cheques to the beneficiaries.

Speaking on the occasion, Reddy mentioned that three months ago, a help desk was established at the city Congress office to identify and resolve various problems faced by the people. The files related to CMRF were submitted to the state government, and cheques were distributed to beneficiaries within 40 days.

Since the formation of the Praja Palana government, the Congress has introduced several welfare schemes for the poor and middle class. The increase of the Aarogyasri scheme limit to Rs 10 lakh is credited to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s government.

In the coming days, the government plans to introduce additional welfare schemes and distribute ration cards to all eligible poor families. By sanctioning 3,500 Indiramma houses in each Assembly constituency, the government aims to provide housing to the homeless poor.

Reddy appealed that anyone unable to receive welfare benefits should inform their respective Congress leaders or utilise the Help Desk established at the party office.

City Congress leaders Md. Taaz, Srinivas Reddy, Venkat Reddy, Shabana, Latha, Maha Lakshmi, Tirumala, and Masoom Khan were present at the meeting.
