Telangana: Residential School Caretaker Suspended for Flouting Diet Menu
Yadadri-Bhongir: District collector M. Hanumantha Rao suspended the caretaker of Telangana Social Welfare Residential School in Bhongir on Monday for failing to adhere to the common diet menu and serving unhygienic food to students. Additionally, the principal of the residential school was served a show-cause notice regarding the violations.
During a surprise inspection at the Telangana Social Welfare Residential School located in Hanuman Wada, Bhongir, collector Rao assessed the quality of food provided to the students. He discovered that the meals did not comply with the prescribed common diet menu. Specifically, students were served buttermilk in the hostel instead of the mandated curd.
Collector Rao also criticised the caretaker for the unclean conditions observed in the dining hall, highlighting significant lapses in hygiene standards. He expressed his dissatisfaction with the current state of food services and the lack of compliance with dietary guidelines.
Rao warned that strict actions would be enforced against officials of residential schools if they failed to follow the common diet menu and maintained poor food quality. This move underscores the district administration’s commitment to ensuring nutritious and hygienic meals for students in residential institutions.
