Telangana Seed Corporation Urges Farmers to Buy Seeds Directly from Outlets
ADILABAD: The Telangana Seed Development Corporation chairman S. Anvesh Reddy on Saturday appealed to farmers to purchase seeds from the corporation outlets instead of purchasing seeds from private agencies.
He said the state government is ready to supply Chana seeds to farmers as per their demand.
While making a review along with the agriculture extension officer and Mandal agriculture officer, Anwesh Reddy said it is high time to create demand for the seeds manufactured and supplied by the corporation.
He said the corporation will take the responsibility if there is a damage or lack of germination of their seeds unlike private seed companies. He said they kept 20,000 quintals of chana seeds ready to sell.
DCCB chairman Addi Bhoja Reddy, bank CEO Sridhar Reddy, PACS chairmen of Adilabad and Nirmal, Congress Kisan Cell state general secretary B. Srikath, district cell president B. Mallesh, former market committee chairman Venkat Reddy and Rythu Sanghams leaders and Congress leaders Rupesh, Mallesh and others were present.
