Hyderabad: The state government has launched a digital health profiling programme to record the medical history of individuals and families on a digital application. Minister for health, medical and family welfare Damodar Rajanarsimha conducted a high-level meeting on Wednesday and directed the officials to digitize the health records of 83 lakh families in the state.

As part of the 'Health Profile of Individuals in the Family' programme, the minister instructed the officials to collect personal details and health records of 83.04 lakh families, based on the 2011 census, and record them on an app.

This exercise would involve the government staff visiting every household in rural and urban areas. In rural areas, ASHA and ANM workers will gather this information door-to-door and upload it into the app. During the meeting, Rajanarasimha sought suggestions from representatives of private hospitals, who also attended the session.
