TGANB freezes illegally acquired properties in major NDPS cases

Hyderabad:The Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TGANB) has frozen properties worth Rs 6 crore in three major cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

In the first case, police seized property worth Rs 1 crore from Gosukonda Anji Reddy, businessman, arrested earlier this year for manufacturing alprazolam. The property included an open plot with a half-finished villa in Gummadidala.

Police seized Rs 4.5 crore from Maduri Rama Krishna Goud, an assistant sub-inspector of police, arrested last year for selling alprazolam. His assets included land in Medak district and vehicles.

Police seized `2 crore assets of Dr Ahsan Mustafa Khan, anaesthesiologist, found trafficking fentanyl. The investigation teams seized properties worth `55 crore in 2024, police said.
