Warangal: The officials of Telangana Northern Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TGNPDCL) are conducting ‘Polam Bata’, a field visit programme, to educate farmers on measures to be taken for their safety while using electricity for borewells and submersible pumpsets in their fields during the rainy season.
After participating in the programme at Damera village of Hanamkonda district and Venkatapur of Mulug district on Thursday, chairman and managing director Karnati Varun Reddy said told farmers that the NPDCL was taking all measures to provide quality and uninterrupted power supply to farm sector and explained to them about using quality capacitors to motors to avoid quick deterioration of transformers and burning of motors. The drive would also help NPDCL officials to find out low-hanging power distribution lines and middle poles and to rectify defects in power transmission from transformers, he said.
He said that they would conduct a special drive in December on fixing AB (Air Break) switches to each transformer to reduce frequent power outages and prevent overloading on transformers.
