TGSPDCL Deploys 101 Emergency Response Team Vehicles

Hyderabad: The southern discom has deployed 101 emergency response team vehicles equipped with advanced equipment to provide immediate response to power supply interruptions and emergencies. Deputy Chief Minister and power minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka inaugurated some of the vehicles for use in Greater Hyderabad in the last month.

Each vehicle is equipped with an assistant engineer, three skilled personnel, thermovision camera and safety gear apart from essential equipment for repairs. Each vehicle can transporting a 100 KVA capacity distribution transformer.

Based on the performance of the vehicles so far, TGSPDCL chairman and managing director Musharraf Faruqui has issued orders allocating a total of 101 vehicles, 50 for the Metro Zone, 21 for Rangareddy, 19 for Medchal and 11 for the rural zone. These vehicles will be available at the field level from December 1.
