Hyderabad:A video of traffic congestion at the Aramghar flyover, which was inaugurated on Monday, was widely in circulation on platform X by a user, who urged Cyberabad traffic police to fix the signal timing to ensure free flow of traffic and serve its purpose. The six-lane flyover is intended to put an end to the frequent chaos in the area and making it easy for commuters entering the city from Bengaluru.

However, it was back to harrowing times on Wednesday.

In their response, the traffic police said that there was no traffic personnel at the junction as most of them were busy with bandobast duty. As a result, there was no one to manually change the timing of the signal, which had led to the chaos.

Most of the traffic reportedly came from Shivarampally and Kattedan.

An official said, “We will go to the Aramghar junction on Thursday and take stock of the situation in the neighbouring areas. We will be able to figure out the possible bottlenecks and work on streamlining traffic. We will also remove barricades in the vicinity to make sure that all the left turns are free for vehicle movements.”
