NIZAMABAD: Telangana University (TU) professor Dr Mohammad Abdul Quavi was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Telangana Urdu Academy for his significant contributions to Urdu literature.

TU vice-chancellor Prof. T. Yadagiri Rao felicitated Dr. Quavi for his achievement, lauding his literary contributions and encouraging him to pursue further research in Urdu literature. The vice-chancellor emphasised that accolades like these enhance the university's reputation.

Dr Quavi has served the university in various academic and administrative capacities, including chief warden, public relations officer, chairman of the board of studies and other key roles. The felicitation ceremony was attended by TU registrar Prof. M. Yadagiri, university college principal Prof. Ch. Arathi and others.
