Two-day Engineers Conclave begins at DRDL Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The 11th Engineers Conclave 2024, an annual flagship two-day event organized by Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) in collaboration with the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) on September 26.

The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr Anil Kakodkar, former Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission and Guest-of-Honour, Dr Samir.V. Kamat, Chairman, DRDO.

The conclave deliberated on two national strategic priorities “Additive Manufacturing for Defence Applications” coordinated by Dr G Madhusudhan Reddy and “Defence Manufacturing Technologies” coordinated by JJ Jadhav.

The event brings together engineers, scientists, academicians, and industry leaders to discuss emerging technologies and advancements in indigenization. GA Srinivasa Murthy, Director, DRDL, Hyderabad welcomed the gathering. U Raja Babu, Director-General, Missiles and Strategic Systems highlighted the challenges in defence manufacturing, followed by a presidential address from Prof. Indranil Manna, President INAE.

The convener Dr Jaiteerth R Joshi, conveyed the message from Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and thanked all the delegates for their active participation and productive deliberations which makes India ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’.
