Hyderabad: Constables honoured for swift arrest

Hyderabad: Madhurangar constables K. Shiva and A. Teja who swiftly arrested a chain-snatcher at the crime scene were felicitated by west zone DCP S.M. Vijay Kumar on Thursday. The snatcher, Nitin was from Tamil Nadu and was known for his role in the Telugu movie Baby.

The incident took place on Wednesday when a 20-year-old woman was going to her office near Saradhi Studios. Nithin snatched her gold chain and tried to escape but constables Shiva and Teja, who were posted there in mufti, arrested him. The constables handed over Nitin at the police station where he was booked and presented before a court. He is presently in judicial custody.
